"Meet Your Designer"

With 30 years of experience in home remodeling, I have helped hundreds of clients transform their kitchens, baths, closets, and living spaces to suit every style and budget. Raised by parents who were leaders in the Kitchen and Bath industry, I view these spaces as central to every home, offering comfort and connection.

After managing and owning my family’s design firm for over two decades, I relocated to Central Oregon, bringing extensive product knowledge and hands-on construction expertise to each project. My approach combines creativity with practical solutions, ensuring every renovation is both beautiful and functional. I've earned national recognition for historic home renovations and am known for my attention to detail, integrity, and customer-focused service.

When colleagues were asked to describe their experiences of working with Chad, one noted: "He is a dedicated, detail-oriented professional who excels in people management and product knowledge, unwavering in his commitment to meet his clients needs with quality, integrity, and professionalism. He is a genuine asset to anyone fortunate enough to work along side him."

DBK Legacy

Designer Baths & Kitchens was originally founded in Memphis, Tennessee in 1976 by my parents who were both leaders in the remodeling industry. I was literally born and raised in the family business. BBQ, Blues, and Kitchen & Bath Renovations are in my DNA.

I began my career in 1994 working part-time in the family business as a teenager in high school. In 1996 I naturally transitioned to a full-time position immediately following graduation.

In July 2000 I was promoted to General Manager of the Mid-South's Largest Kitchen & Bath Design Center, a 3000 sq. ft. showroom featuring the latest trends in cabinetry, countertops, tile, fixtures, lighting and hardware.

In 2006, with 10 years of Kitchen & Bath design and remodeling experience under my belt, I became Lead Designer of a small five person team that was known throughout Memphis for providing the very best the home remodeling industry had to offer.

In 2010 I became co-owner with my parents, taking on more responsibilities and eventually having complete oversight of all company operations, allowing my parents after nearly 35 years of dedication to Designer Baths & Kitchens to begin enjoying their retirement years.

I held all these positions until 2017 when my entire family (including younger sister and now retired parents) relocated to Bend, Oregon. After living our entire lives in one place, my wife and I decided we wanted a change of scenery. We fell in love with Central Oregon nearly a decade before relocating, returning many times over the years on family vacations. Like so many "Bendites", the natural beauty of this part of the country got its hooks in us, and we decided what could be better than living where we loved to vacation.

After relocating across the country in 2017, I continued managing Designer Baths & Kitchens from afar, traveling to Tennessee regularly as needed. In 2020 the decision was made to permanently close the doors after 44 wonderful years in Memphis. Beginning this new chapter, all our time and energy would be dedicated to once again becoming known for providing the very best the home remodeling industry has to offer...But this time, in our beautiful new home, Bend Oregon.
